Energizing Summer Smoothie

Although it's not quite summer yet, with all this gorgeous weather we've been having here in Vancouver it sure feels like summer has arrived early! This smoothie is full of delicious, nutrient dense, energizing ingredients like ginger, hemp seed hearts and turmeric so it's the perfect breaky to kick start a hot summery day!
...and also the perfect hangover remedy for when you may have had too many patio cocktails the night before ;)

Energizing Summer Smoothie 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 1 cup raw almond milk
  • 1/2 cup raw coconut milk
  • 3 tbsps hemp seed hearts
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1/4 cup raw mint leaves
  • 1/2 tsp raw grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp raw grated turmeric
  • 1 tsp raw honey

Directions:

  1. Throw all the ingredients into a blender and blend well on high speed.

  2. If you want to make it pretty, garnish with some fruit, hemp seeds, coconut shavings, bee pollen granules, or mint leaves!
